Why add mechanical and thermal properties to masterbatch?

The masterbatch quality can have a significant effect on the quality of the plastic end product. That is why Italmaster offers the possibility to add mechanical and thermal properties to your masterbatch in addition to color pigments.

Lightfastness and weather resistance: is your plastic end product subject to high UV radiation or extreme weather conditions? Then pay the necessary attention to determine the resistance of the pigments in accordance with UNI EN ISO 105 B02/2001 - BLUE SCALE and UNI EN ISO 105 A02 - GRAY SCALE when ordering your masterbatch. The addition of a UV stabilizer to the masterbatch can give your end product a considerably longer life.

Temperature resistance: With certain production processes, a higher production temperature must be taken into account. When ordering your masterbatch, take into account the maximum temperature that the pigments must be able to withstand during the processing process. Italmaster guarantees a masterbatch that meets the specifications required by you, resulting in optimum plastic quality.

Flame retardant properties: A flame retardant or flame retardant masterbatch is used to slow or stop the spread of fire. In the event of fire, effective flame retardancy is a necessity in many film, sheet or molding applications. Flame retardant properties are often attributed to industrial goods or products for consumption.

Anti-static properties: Static electricity can damage plastic products in several ways. Plastic surfaces can stick together or the load can attract large amounts of dryness and dust. In the worst case scenario, the static electricity can be so powerful that it can generate a spark that can ignite a flame. The antistatic masterbatch can help with this.

Conductive properties: The main areas where conductive masterbatches can be used are static control components that prevent damage from sparks and high voltage surges. Italmaster ensures a good balance between conductive and mechanical properties when developing your masterbatch.
